This week, we paid off our last debt, after working towards this goal for approximately 2.5 years. We had some hurdles along the way - a hospital bill for an appendectomy, a vehicle that had to be replaced, etc. Honestly, towards the end, I didn't think we were EVER going to get there, but it's finally done.
I have blogged somewhat about this goal of ours and you can click on the link in the sidebar that says "money" if you are interested. (I realize some of you are not - and that's okay too) =D
I learned a lot of lessons along the way:
- The art of compromise in marriage
- The thin line between working hard towards a goal and allowing the goal to take over our lives
- The backbone to say "No!" when I really want to say "Yes!"
- That it is possible to set a big goal, and actually reach it.
- Not to give up at the hard part
Chad has gotten a little amused/annoyed with me calling him up randomly through the day to say, "Hey. Guess what. We're debt free!" hehe If I'm not going to call Dave and say it, I've GOT to call somebody! =)
We're Debt Freeeeeeeeee!
